It's official: "Hudson project car" has taken a back seat to "'48-49 Packard convertible project car" on my bucket list. In Clarkson terms, "This is just better". Two on the market right now (Hemmings, independent classics dealer) for $5k and under in "rough project" shape.

And do the aqua boogie
Win lots of goodies maybe
Pop a Gucci wallet turntables is talking to me
It's awfully groovy
Seeing all the treasure and the booty

Booty is one of the fine features of a '49 Packard. Ask the man who owns one.

Are you seriously considering buying one? I am very envious of your future ride.

Probably going to have to be like two years before I can both afford and store. Still, it's good to know they're out there.

Well, let me rephrase, actually: Before I can afford one *without guilt* (paying family members money, student loans) and store *without making my dad's head explode*.

It is still one of my favorite cars to come out of the 1940s. Also saying you own a Packard puts you amongst quite a rarified and prestigious crowd.

Cant go wrong with any cars of this era. They aren't the cheapest to restore though. I love the look on these Packards.
